“We need a fabulous kitchen bar, and outdoor living area with a couple of bedrooms and baths attached,” said our clients who entertain large crowds regularly. With a neighborhood lot with no back neighbors, we collaborated with our clients to design a new home that would include a sizable, year seamless, addition to this mid-century 1950’s ranch style home. At completion, the size of the home increased by nearly 1500 square feet so we could accommodate a customized massive professional kitchen for these professional chefs with one of the largest islands we’ve ever built. The bar area is also impressive. Both of these areas are open to spacious living areas that also open to the Covington Signature Homes trademarked patio cover with tongue and groove pine on the ceilings. Overall, the home looks and feels inviting and is an entertainer’s dream. Of note, this home now features two bedrooms and two baths, the laundry room is within the master closet, and the master shower is about 75 square feet – huge!  This is a true custom home where our clients built exactly what they wanted for themselves.
